BMW Golf Sport | Ryder Cup Countdown Design

The Ryder Cup has a claim: the golf experience of your life.

Established in 1927, Wikipedia report also that "The Ryder Cup is a biennial men's golf competition between teams from Europe and the United States. The competition is contested every two years with the venue alternating between courses in the United States and Europe". The job requested was about building up a countdowm, within a fine design, being displayed in the main website once delivered.

The idea of a countdown is cool, katchy, but what about the display?If we don't pay attention to it, the design could have easily been one of those thousand of copy paste, boring, white clocks whipping each second and that's it.


My idea was simple, to remain consistent with the outstanding design that each BMW car displays on its internal screen:  the odometers, mostly the digital ones.

Therefor a couple of sketches directly on Illustrator and Photoshop Afterwards, to sense if it these shapes could have found place into the website's design, and they did.
